When designing for the Internet it is important to take into consideration the different accessibility needs of potential visitors to your website. The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Part III requires websites to be designed to cater for disabled users. However accessibility is not just about disability, the same principles can be applied to ensure websites can be viewed regardless of device i.e. Mobile phones and PDA devices

There are various important standards that all websites should ideally comply with. These standards ensure that your website is compatible with more browsers (and therefore increasing your Accessibility), helps ensure it is search engine friendly and makes the web site easier to maintain.
